Our mission

Protean Virtual Services exists to give small business owners, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and content creators across the United States the operational support they need to grow with confidence. We handle the behind-the-scenes work, business setup, procurement and contract management, certifications, and day-to-day administrative support with transparency, expertise, and genuine care for our clients' success, so they can spend less time on paperwork and more time building their dream.

Our Story

I started Protean Virtual Services to help small business owners achieve their dreams of starting and growing their small business with the excessive overhead of hiring a full staff. Over the course of my career, I have worn nearly every hat a growing organization needs, from managing federally funded contracts worth $25M+ as a Contracting Officer's Representative, to helping small businesses navigate SAM.gov registration and bid on government contracts, to filing Articles of Incorporation and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status for nonprofits, to handling the everyday essentials of running a business: bookkeeping, payroll, permit running, office organization, and beyond.

That hands-on, ground-level experience taught me something many small business owners already know firsthand: starting and growing a business is rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming. Between licensing, registrations, contracts, vendors, and the never-ending paperwork, it's easy to feel buried before you've even gotten off the ground.

Protean Virtual Services exists to change that. I started this business to give small business owners, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit leaders the same level of operational support and procurement expertise that large organizations rely on without the overhead of building an internal team. A proud Army veteran, I am passionate about giving back through my work with disaster recovery and hazard mitigation volunteer programs, and through ongoing volunteer work in my community. That same spirit of service is at the heart of why Protean Virtual Services exists: to genuinely help people succeed.
